CT Employer with 75+ Employees? Don’t Forget to File That FMLA Report …Now that it’s Updated

If you’re a Connecticut employer with more than 75 employees, you’ll have to fill out an FMLA Report with the Department of Labor this year. But if you planned on downloading the form from the CT DOL page early, you may have noticed that the dates on the Annual Family & Medical Leave Experience Report for Calendar Year 2010 were not yet updated.

Daniel A. Schwartz, of the Connecticut Employment Law Blog, noticed the discrepancy earlier this month and alerted his readers to the problem. Just yesterday, the form still featured outdated information, including a suggestion to filers that they gauge their number of employees through the payroll week that included October 1, 2008.

The deadline for submitting the form was also still listed as April 1, 2010, even though the masthead said “Calendar Year 2010.”

However, it seems that CT DOL has taken notice of the problem and updated its form, which now features updated dates and information. If you’re required to fill out an FMLA report, or if you’re not sure about your filing status, more information can be found at the CT DOL website
