If you think that only older workers need to be encouraged to get flu shots, you might want to reconsider. This flu season, the federal Department of Health and Human Services is promoting the flu vaccine to younger adults; for several reasons, you might want to do this as well.
Through its Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the agency has initiated two public service advertising campaigns to inform young adults that they, too, need the flu vaccine to protect themselves, as well as the high-risk people they come in contact with at work, at home, on public transportation while commuting, or in other public places.
