We’re starting to plan our holiday party. Should we hire an outside bartender?
It’s a wise idea to hire a professional bartender who will refrain from drinking, will serve measured shots (or no shots at all), and will stop serving individuals who have had too much. Instruct the bartender about how long to keep the bar open. One good approach is to have a “cocktail hour” at the beginning of the party and then close the bar once dinner is served. This gives employees time to regain sobriety before driving.
