For years, BLR® has surveyed HR and benefits professionals to see what benefits they are actually offering. This year, we have expanded our survey program by conducting a series of brief, targeted benefits surveys. Today’s topics: Benefits Communication. (Survey results will be presented in a future issue of the HR Daily Advisor.)
Today’s Survey Topics: Benefits Communication
One of the most frustrating things about HR is that employees just don’t appreciate the true value of the many benefits the company provides. Let’s find out what companies are doing to be sure they get full credit for all they contribute to employee’s welfare. Here are some of the issues we’re probing in our survey:
- Does your organization provide employees with an annual summary and if so, in what form?
- Does the summary plan description show the cost to the company of providing each benefit?
- Do you prepare more than one benefits summary?
- Do you survey employees to determine benefit preferences?
- How satisfied are your employees with their benefits?
Please take a few minutes to complete this brief survey.
