Benefits costs—the challenge that won’t go away. Everyone is trying something to solve the problem or at least keep it at bay. What’s working? That’s what we’re going to find out for you.
For years, BLR has surveyed HR and benefits professionals to find out their actual compensation and benefit offerings. This year, we have expanded our survey program by conducting a series of brief, targeted surveys. Today’s topic: Cost of Benefits.
We want to find out how companies like yours are paying for benefits, and how they are responding to ever-increasing benefits costs. Please help by filling out our brief survey; we’ll share the results so you can get an idea of how you measure up and what alternatives you could be considering.
Key issues we’re probing in our survey:
Cost per employee for:
- Health insurance
- Legally required benefits (including Social Security, Medicare, unemployment, and workers’ compensation)
- Defined benefit and defined contribution retirement and savings plans
We’ll also find out what actions employers have taken to reduce healthcare costs, for example:
- Raised employees’ copayment?
- Raised employees’ deductible?
- Reduced contributions to dependent premiums?
- Offered HSA/ High deductible plan?
- Discontinued retiree coverage?
- Discontinued coverage to part-timers?
- Offered opt-out incentives?
Results will be presented in a future issue of the HR Daily Advisor.
Please take a few minutes now to complete this brief survey.
