Most Employers Offer Pre-Tax Benefit Programs





Eighty percent of
employers offer pre-tax benefit programs such as flexible spending accounts
(FSAs) and travel reimbursement incentive programs to help employees offset the
rising costs of medical care and transportation, according to a new online
survey of 47,000 respondents by the American Payroll Association (APA).

 

Programs such as
dependent care FSAs, medical FSAs, and travel reimbursement incentive programs can
help employees save up to 35 percent on commuting, healthcare, and dependent
care expenses, according to the APA.
