The U.S. Department of
Labor’s Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) has launched an
interactive calculator, available online at www.askebsa.dol.gov, to help
employers and benefits plan administrators who are delinquent in meeting
retirement plan reporting deadlines to quickly determine the amount of
penalties they owe. The EBSA has also unveiled a new interactive Web tool to
assist employers with understanding their responsibilities under the employee
benefit laws. The tool is available at www.dol.gov/elaws/ERISAFiduciary.htm.
