HR Strange But True

What’s the Highest Paying Job with a 2-Year Degree?

With the rising cost of higher education, some are considering whether a 4-year degree is worth the price, or whether they could land a high-paying career with an associate’s degree.

A new CareerBuilder® survey, conducted with Economic Modeling Specialists, lists the highest-paying jobs that require an associate’s degree.

Here are the top five jobs, along with their median salary:

  1. Air Traffic Controller–$113,547
  2. Radiation Therapist–$76,627
  3. Dental Hygienist–$70,408
  4. Nuclear Medicine Technologist–$69,638
  5. Nuclear Technician–$68,037

The survey found that while college degrees are costly, not having one could impact your chances of finding employment.

“Nearly one in five employers (18 percent) reported that their educational requirements for jobs in their organizations have increased over the last five years,” said Brent Rasmussen, President of CareerBuilder North America. “Not only does [a college education] increase the amount of opportunities available to you, it also significantly boosts your earning potential.”

  1. What is the highest paying job for a person who has a degree but received a criminal record? Is there any help for people like that? If I own a business will hiring people (one time offenders only) like that help me with tax incentitives.
