Nearly 70 percent of respondents to a BLR poll believed that taking a nap during their shift would make them more productive workers. However, many workplaces—assuming they would allow naps—may not have a suitable place for employees to sleep.
There have been some extravagant products we reported on, like the EnergyPod—a reclined pod-like chair that offers a built-in music player as well as a vibration alarm. (Take a look here if you’re interested.) But is there a more economic option?
Enter the Ostrich Pillow®. Several media sources have been reporting on the product, which offers a comfortable way to fit in a quick nap at your desk.
The product line, from STUDIO BANANA THiNGS, offers a junior and light version, but the original is by far our favorite. The pillow goes over your head and has three holes, one for each hand, and one to breathe through.
Other than that, it’s lights out. The experience is described on the site: “It’s soothing cave-like interior shelters and isolates both your head and hands, perfect for a power nap.”
If you haven’t seen the product, take a look.
$110 for a pillow–wow! You really need to visit the Ostrich Pillow website to see how ridiculous these things look.
