Slow wage growth continues to impact many U.S. workers, with 89% of moonlighters planning to keep their part-time second jobs in 2016 either fully or in part, and over 50% doing so to keep up with “cost of living,” according to a new survey by Indeed.com.

The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the U.S. Department of Labor recently published a proposal to revise the EEO-1 reporting form in order to annually collect summary pay data by gender, race, and ethnicity from businesses with 100 or more employees. U.S. employers remain confident in their hiring plans as they embark on a new year, according to CareerBuilder’s annual job forecast. Thirty-six percent of employers plan to add full-time, permanent employees in 2016, the same as 2015. Nearly half of employers (47%) plan to hire temporary or contract workers.
