Weird Interview Questions (Matching Quiz)

What’s the weirdest interview question you’ve ever asked—or been asked? Glassdoor recently compiled a list of 25 usual interview questions that make applicants think outside the box. For example, “How would you make a tuna sandwich?” (Astron Consulting).

Here are a few questions that made the list. To make this week’s column a little more interactive, we are also listing the companies.

  1. I like, “What’s your favorite fish?” The correct answer is, “Huh?” Anyone who doesn’t stop and think about the question, but simply comes up with something, may be someone who often jumps to conclusions when they shouldn’t.

  2. What is scary is that hiring officers think interviewers are qualified to assess people based on their answers to these questions. A team of psychologists couldn’t do that.
