The California Fair Employment and Housing Commission (FEHC) has revised the proposed regulations to implement A.B. 1825, the law requiring employers with 50 or more employees to provide supervisors with sexual harassment training every two years. The FEHC is accepting comments on the new proposal until July 20, 2006.
The new draft makes some significant changes from the earlier version. Key provisions that have been revised include:
- Content and time requirements for webinar and e-learning programs
- Methods for tracking supervisor training
- Training for newly hired supervisors who received training from a prior employer
- Requirements for training out-of-state supervisors
- Trainer qualifications
- Training documentation requirements
We’ll have a full report on the revised proposal in the next issue of the California Employer Advisor.
