Youth Labor Violations Cost Pizza Vendor A Bundle

Caesar’s Utah will pay $110,800 for violations of Fair Labor
Standards Act (FLSA) child labor rules at a Little Caesar’s Pizza restaurant in
Sandy, Utah.
The violations included allowing teens under age 18 to operate mechanical
dough-mixing machines and to work longer hours than the FLSA permits. As part of
the settlement, the company will launch a youth employment education campaign
with posters, billboards, and radio public service announcements.
