San Francisco Minimum wage, Other Living Wage Rages Going Up

On Jan. 1, 2008, San Francisco’s minimum
wage adjusts to $9.36 per hour, up from $9.14 in 2007. This minimum wage
applies to anyone who, in a particular week, works at least two hours for an
employer within the geographic boundaries of San Francisco. Note that the San Francisco minimum wage
poster has been updated and can be downloaded at www.sfgov.org/site/olse_index.asp?id=27605.

Also, if you operate in a city or county that has a living wage law, be
sure to check whether the rate is going up for 2008. Many living wage rates are
automatically adjusted annually based on the consumer price index.
