We have about 350 employees across 17 worksites, and the greatest number of employees we have in any one location is about 80. We’d like to start a health and wellness program, but how do we get it going when we have people all over the place?

I recommend a walking program for your organization. Employees can register to participate, define their own aims, and then self-report as to whether they meet them. A centralized person, such as a company nurse or HR employee, could oversee the program and recommend goals to participants. The best mileage target to shoot for is 20 miles a week. People shouldn’t begin at that pace, but you could recommend a starting goal, have people formally register, and have them plot their progress.
