A man in Virginia has been arrested for stealing laptops. According to local reports, there were more than 1,200 laptops found in his home. The man, a public schools employee, sold the computers online.
He has been arrested for embezzlement.
Not the first…or the last. Employee theft is nothing new. It can range from taking a few office supplies, to swiping food from the cafeteria fridge, to embezzling hundreds of thousands of dollars. Then it gets more weird.
There was a shoplifter who returned to the scene of the crime to apply for a job, airline employees who took $400,000 in mini-alcohol bottles, and even a CEO who stole employees’ identities to open credit lines! Not mention the employees who stole corpses.
