iCIMS, Inc., a provider of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) talent acquisition solutions, has just released a new report revealing that newly minted college grads’ job expectations differ wildly from what the working world actually has in store for them.
The report, Class of 2016 Enters the Workforce [Hopefully]!, was done in conjunction with Wakefield Research. It evaluated expectations versus reality by surveying 400 members of the Class of 2016, along with 400 recruiting professionals, and comparing their responses.
“While the job market is improving, this report demonstrates that the Class of 2016 may have some difficulty when it comes to landing a first job that matches what they are anticipating,” says Susan Vitale, iCIMS chief marketing officer, quoted in a press release.
