Employment Law Tip: Get the New Minimum Wage Poster

On July 24, 2007, the federal minimum wage will rise to $5.85 per hour, with further increases in the next two years that will take the rate to $7.25 per hour.

Most California employers aren’t affected by this rate increase, as the California minimum wage remains higher. However, all employers are required to post the federal minimum wage poster, and the new version reflecting the rate hike is now available.

You can download the poster from the U.S. Department of Labor’s website. You must post it in a conspicuous place in all of your establishments so as to permit employees to readily read it.
