A recent Twitter Chat addressed the practice of relaxation techniques as an effective means of fighting both mental and physical stress. The good news was that many of the techniques can be effectively used during work hours.
The Twitter Chat was sponsored by the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the National Center for Complimentary and Integrative Health (NCCIH).
The first question on the Chat was “what is stress and how does stress affect a person’s health both physically and mentally?” The Chat then addressed the merit of relaxation techniques in lessening stress and anxiety.
