HR Works Presents HR Work Break: Employee Mental Health and the Importance of Appreciation

Guests: Dr. Meisha-Ann Martin, Senior Director of People Analytics and Research at Workhuman

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. For those who are struggling, know that it’s okay to not be okay—please reach out for help if you need it, and remember that there are people who care about you. These past two years took an immense toll on people’s wellbeing. The workforce, in particular, faces unprecedented struggles with mental health, wellness, and burnout. In fact, according to Workhuman’s recent Human Workplace Index, 43% of employees are concerned about the effect their job has on their mental health and wellbeing.

In this episode of HR Work Break I’m joined by Dr. Meisha-Ann Martin, Senior Director of People Analytics and Research at Workhuman. Workhuman is a company that helps with employee performance, retention, and engagement. Listen in as we discuss the importance of check-ins, appreciation, and psychological safety for employee mental health.
