Educational Session| Avoiding Legal Pitfalls When Reopening the Workplace

The COVID-19 vaccine means people’s lives can begin to return to normal—and that includes returning kids to school and adults to the workplace. But there’s a lot employers need to do to prepare for returning employees.

The physical work environment needs to be safe and safety protocols must be put in place. Employers need to know the legal risks and weigh their options when deciding whether to require employees to get the COVID-19 vaccine. When rehiring laid off workers or transitioning remote workers back to the workplace, employers need to be sure their practices don’t discriminate based on sex or other protected characteristics. And they need to carefully consider requests for accommodation from workers with disabilities.

It’s a big job to create a smooth transition to a safe working environment while avoiding legal pitfalls. This webinar helps employers identify the key issues to consider when reopening the workplace and provides step-by-step guidance for developing and implementing the policies and procedures needed to ensure a safe, legally compliant transition.
