Cash Was Most Common Holiday Bonus of 2015 (But Is That What Employees Wanted)?

What did employers give for holiday bonuses this year? And what do employees prefer if given a choice? Results of a new Express Employment Professionals survey reveals what employers are planning to gift their workers and what the employees really want.

“The holidays are always a time for businesses to say an extra ‘thank you’ to the people who keep their companies running. Employees certainly appreciate the added generosity and employers appreciate the opportunity to show their gratitude,” said Bob Funk, CEO of Express, and a former chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, in a press release.

However, results of the survey of over 300 businesses and 800 employees reveal some differences when it comes to what form of “thank you” is given.
